How to File a Takedown Notice
To file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice, your written notice must include:
Physical or Electronic Signature
Your electronic or physical signature certifying that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
Identification of Copyrighted Work
Description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, including relevant details that identify the work (e.g., title, author, publication date)
Identification of Infringing Material
Specific identification of the location on The Pickers Map where the infringing material appears, including the URL and a detailed description of where on that page the infringing content is located
Contact Information
Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can contact you regarding your claim
Good Faith Statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
Accuracy Statement
A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Counter-Notice Procedure
If content you posted has been removed due to a DMCA takedown notice and you believe the removal was in error, you have the right to file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- •Your physical or electronic signature
- •Identification of the removed material and where it was located
- •A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed in error
- •Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- •A statement consenting to jurisdiction of federal court where the infringement claim was made
Send your counter-notice to Support@ThePickerMap.com. We will review your counter-notice and may restore the removed content if we determine the removal was made in error.
Repeat Infringer Policy
The Pickers Map maintains a strict policy regarding repeat copyright infringement. Users or accounts with a pattern of repeated copyright violations will have their accounts terminated, and their access to The Pickers Map will be permanently revoked. We will cooperate with law enforcement as required.
Liability for False Claims
Filing a false DMCA takedown notice is perjury and may result in serious legal consequences, including:
- •Civil liability for damages, court costs, and attorney's fees
- •Criminal prosecution under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f)
- •Injunction against filing further false claims
Please be careful: Only file a DMCA takedown notice if you are certain your copyright has been infringed. Filing a false claim can have serious legal consequences.
Our Process
When we receive a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Review the notice for completeness and validity
- Remove or disable access to the infringing content promptly
- Notify the user whose content was removed (if the notice includes contact information)
- Provide the user with an opportunity to file a counter-notice
- Preserve evidence and cooperate with legal proceedings as required
